I worked as wardrobe assistant lead for Sunday Service in Los Angeles, a recurring service held on Sundays featuring Kanye West and his choir performing original gospel melodies, across a run of 4 shows. The role covered wardrobe prep, organization, and on-site support across the choir and cast, in a service format rather than a single one-off event.

THE ROLE

  • Helped lead wardrobe assistance across 4 Sunday Service shows in Los Angeles

  • Prepped and organized wardrobe for the choir and cast across each service

  • Supported consistency across multiple shows, not just a single one-off event

  • Helped keep wardrobe operations running smoothly show to show

HOW I HANDLED IT

  • Stayed flexible by design rather than treating each show as a fixed plan — expecting changes instead of being thrown by them

  • Kept an organization system in place so last-minute adjustments could be absorbed quickly without unraveling the rest of the prep

  • Kept close communication with the wardrobe and production team so changes were caught and acted on early, rather than discovered too late

  • Carried what worked from each show into the next, refining how quickly the team could adapt as the run went on

THE CHALLENGE

Across the 4 shows, last-minute changes were constant — wardrobe needs, cast details, and show elements could shift with little warning, show to show. The job wasn't just prepping wardrobe correctly once; it was staying ready to adjust fast, repeatedly, without losing consistency or letting quality slip as changes came in.

THE RESULTS

Wardrobe was successfully executed across all 4 Sunday Service shows in Los Angeles.
