ROLE — Wardrobe Assistant Lead
PRODUCTION — Donda Listening Events
PRODUCTION TYPE — Live Entertainment / Large-Scale Event Production
SCOPE — Up to 500 Performers | Multiple Cities | Multi-Show Production

I worked as wardrobe assistant lead across multiple Donda listening party shows for Kanye West, ranging from Atlanta, Chicago, and Miami. Helping dress a cast of up to 500 people per show — including a full choir for one of the events. The role covered wardrobe organization at scale, live dressing on show day, and accountability for every item after the show wrapped.

THE ROLE

  • Assisted in leading wardrobe dressing operations for casts of up to 500 performers per show across multiple Donda productions.

  • Managed wardrobe organization and staging to support efficient, accurate dressing across large-scale performer and dancer casts.

  • Supported full choir wardrobe operations for one production, integrating additional talent into the existing dressing workflow.

  • Maintained item tracking and post-show recovery processes for high-value wardrobe pieces, ensuring assigned items were returned and accounted for.

HOW I HANDLED IT

• Built and maintained an organized wardrobe system to support accurate, efficient dressing for casts of up to 500 performers while adapting the workflow to accommodate additional choir wardrobe.

• Established clear item-tracking and return points for high-value wardrobe, creating accountability from distribution through post-show recovery.

• Coordinated post-show collection of assigned wardrobe pieces before performer departure, helping ensure high-value items were recovered and accounted for.

• Maintained an efficient dressing and recovery workflow without disrupting performer movement or live production schedules.

THE CHALLENGE

Dressing a cast of up to 500 performers required a wardrobe system capable of managing sizing, sorting, staging and distribution at scale without slowing the live production schedule. For one show, a full choir added another layer of complexity to the existing workflow.

Post-show recovery created an additional challenge: high-value wardrobe pieces needed to be collected and accounted for before performers exited the production, requiring clear ownership and return procedures throughout the process.

THE RESULTS

Successfully supported wardrobe execution across multiple Donda productions with casts of up to 500 performers, including full choir wardrobe for one event, while maintaining efficient dressing workflows and post-show accountability for high-value pieces.
